₹30,000 to ₹3 lakh per year scholarship for domicile residents of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh pursuing general, engineering, or medical undergraduate courses through AICTE.

About this scheme

The Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K and Ladakh (SSSJKL), commonly known as PMSSS, is a Government of India initiative. Managed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), it provides 5,000 annual scholarships to help youth from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh pursue higher education in colleges across India.

Eligibility

  • Domicile: Must be a domicile resident of the Union Territories of J&K or Ladakh
  • Academic qualification: Must have passed the 10+2 examination from JKBOSE or a CBSE-affiliated school located within J&K or Ladakh
  • Annual family income: Must not exceed ₹8,00,000
  • Course: Must be applying for general, engineering, or medical (including BDS and equivalent) undergraduate courses
