Overview

The EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate, also called the Income and Asset Certificate, certifies that a general-category applicant's family income and assets fall within prescribed limits, enabling the 10% EWS reservation.

Who can apply

  • Annual family income: Below ₹8,00,000 from all sources
  • Category: General category, not covered under SC/ST/OBC reservation
  • Assets: Within the prescribed land and property limits
